Mr. Raymond HU, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director and the management staff of the Group have the great honour to exchange views on public finance of Hong Kong with Mr. Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of the HKSAR Government on 9 January 2018. Meaningful discussions were made on various topics such as utilization of Government Fiscal Reserves, deployment of budget surplus, improvement of traffic flow of the cross harbor tunnels, housing policy, aging problem and re-balancing of the government financial assets, etc. Mr. Chan was fully aware of the public concern and his understanding and encouraging attitude reinforced our confidence in the Government’s monetary and fiscal policies.
